Gym Bag Essentials

What’s in my gym bag? I’ve got all of the gym bag essentials that you’re going to need for your workout!

 

Don’t get caught without the necessities when all you want to do is show up and get that workout done.

I mean, have you ever done leg day without a hair tie? .. talk about a sweat sticky mass of hair. It was not enjoyable.

 

Make sure you always have what you need, and I always say that it’s better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it!

Gym Bag

I can’t find the exact gym bag I use, but here is one that I love, and it’ll probably be my next bag, or a current alternative.

 

 

Heart Rate Monitor

Heart rate monitors are awesome because they tell you exactly how many calories you’re burning during your workout.

 

It will also keep you on your toes. Sometimes I think I’m killing it during cardio and my heart rate monitor is telling me my heart rate is lower than what I think, so that lets me know I need to kick it up a notch.

 

 

 

Water Bottle

I love Blender Bottles. They mix up whatever kinda mix you toss in there, because ya know, that’s what they’re supposed to do.

 


Plain ole water bottles are cool and all too. If you like that, then here ya go.

 

 

BCAA

BCAA, or branched chain amino acids, is a supplement that promotes healthy muscle growth and recovery.

I like to take BCAA’s intra and post workout.


They not absolutely necessary of course, but if it’s something you’re into then go for it!

 

I love BPI Sports, I have not had one flavor I didn’t like. But, I would have to say my favorites are Snow Cone, Sour Candy, and Blue Raspberry.

 

 

Face Wipes

A show of hands, who enjoys being sweaty and gross after a workout?

No one?

 

That’s what I thought.

 

These face wipes have saved me.

 

 

 

Dry Shampoo

A show of hands, who enjoys being sweaty and gross after a workout?

No one?

 

That’s what I thought.

 

Yeah yeah, same as above.

But this dry shampoo is bomb.

It’ll soak up that sweat so you can possibly be seen in a public setting before you shower.

 

 

Headband

Keep yo hair back. If you’ve got bangs, these are great!

 

 

Bands

Okay, my gym doesn’t have any bands like this, so I have to bring my own.  I like to have these for leg day. Sometimes I’ll use them when I squat, or do banded walks with a barbell.

 

Headphones

Beats Solo3 headphones are the best headphones I have ever used. The sound quality is amazing, and they cancel out any excess noise around you.

Are they worth the price? Absolutely.
